Thank you for checking out my website. You may have noticed that I've photographed a wide range of subjects.

 

My passion is capturing those quiet moments in our world that say a lot about who we are.​ Most of the photos on this site were made during my 40-year-long career as a photojournalist working for various newspapers.

 

My career path put me at The Hutchinson News, The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Kansas City Star.​ Most of my 23 years at The Star saw me working as a photo editor in one capacity or another. Before I left in 2025, I spent my final 10 years there leading an award–winning staff of talented photojournalists in my capacity as the Assistant Managing Editor of Photography.​ Under my leadership, our team covered countless enterprise, investigative and breaking news stories along with coverage of two World Series, five Super Bowls and numerous March Madness tournaments.​
